What We Believe

1. That the Bible is inspired by God and is infallible. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and life. (2 Tim 3:16)

2. In the unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. There is one God in whom there are three persons. (Gen 1:26, John 1:1-2, John 14:14, 26)

3. All people are sinful by nature since the fall of man and are thereby justly subject to the judgement of God. (Rom 5:12)

4. The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternally existing, Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. (John 1:1, Luke 1:27)

5. That salvation from the guilt, penalty and power of sin is found only through the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is our representative and substitute and through his death we can have forgiveness of sin and receive the gift of eternal life. (Acts 4:12, Eph 2:8)

6. In the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. (Luke 24:39, 1 Cor 15:1-11)

7. It is by the work of the Holy Spirit that people are made aware of their sin, bringing them to faith and repentance. It is only through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit that a believer is able to live a holy life that is pleasing to God. (John 3:3-5, Ephesians 2:8-10)

8. In the one holy universal church, the body of Christ, to which all true believers belong. (Eph 2:19-22, 5:25)

9. The Lord Jesus Christ will one day return in person and at that time he will bring the Kingdom of God in all its fullness. (Acts 1:11, Rev 1:7)
